1. Sara's Homecoming: (June/July 1904)
Hetty takes Sara back to Montreal. When a tragic accident causes
them to go back to Avonlea. Sara is left trying to find answers. She
seeks the help of a fortune teller at a traveling circus. When she is
kidnapped, Alec puts himself in danger in order to find and rescue
Sara.
2. How Kissing Was Discovered: (July 1904)
Great Aunt Eliza ha come for a visit, Janet is suffering mood swings,
and Felicity is feeling all grown up and making the other children
miserable. Alec is trying to get ready for his Cricket match and Felicity
falls for someone on the other team. Sara and Felix meet a young
sailor, Gus Pike, and bring him back to King Farm to work until the
Cannery opens. The Children develope a strong friendship with Gus,
and when he leaves Felicity is certain he'll be back. Janet discovers
she's pregnant.
3. Aunt Hetty's Ordeal: (September 1904)
Muriel Stacey has been promoted to board of trustees and is coming
to Avonlea for a visit. Hetty is sure she's coming to check up on the
school and goes out of her way to make it better. The town gossips
are laughing at Hetty, and Hetty goes off to find more students. Gus
Pike becomes a student. Gus becomes convinced that his fiddle is
evil. Hetty is injured and Miss Stacey must fill in. Now Miss Stacey has
to convince Gus that he is not cursed and his fiddle isn't evil.
4. Of Corsets and Secrets and True True Love:
Rachel is in a bad mood because of a sore tooth and she refuses to
go to the doctor. Marilla takes in twins for what was supposed to be
a temporary situation. When Marilla finds out that she must keep the
children (who have proven to be quite a handful), or send them back
to the orphanage, she has a hard decision to make. By keeping the
children she as to risk losing her friendship with Rachel.
5. Old Quarrels, Old Love:
Hetty's old beau, Romney Penhallow, has come back and Hetty refuses
to speak to him. Romney convinces Hetty to let by-gones be by-gones
and they become friends. Their friendship becomes stronger when
Romney reveals a sad secret.
6. May the Best Man Win:
Olivia's old beau, Edwin Clark, has become wealthy and comes back
to the island in hopes to court Olivia again. Hetty who dissapproved
of him before is now encouraging Olivia in the relationship. Meanwhile
Sara is convinced that Jasper Dale would be a much better suitor for
Olivia. Sara teaches Jasper how to court Olivia, and Olivia's mind is
made up when she sees how the two men act when a young boys falls
in an old well.
7. Family Rivaly:
Andrew's father has come home and Hetty is planning a huge home-
coming. Hetty's praise towards Roger is making Alec feel like a failure.
When Alec gives a friend some money from the King trus, Roger is
upset. Alec and Roger are constantly at eachother's throats... and
Andrew and Felix are effected as well.
8. Sea Ghost:
Rachel is convinced that the Islandd is overcome with bootleggers. Gus
Gus is in school, when Captain Ezekial Crane offers him a job and a
place to live. Abe Pike comes to the Island claiming that Gus is his son.
Meanwhile the children keep seeing a ship they are sure is a ghost ship.
9. All That Glitters:
Sara finds a gold coin, and Captain Crane tells her there is treasure
on the island. Rachel, Hetty and Janet go different ways looking for
treasure. Captain Borden comes to the island looking for the Spanish
treasure. Captain Crane dissappears with the treasure leaving Gus
a ring and the lighthouse.
10. Dreamer of Dreams:
Felicity and Sara are bored and decide to start their own newspaper.
Olivia is left in charge of the Avonlea Chronicle but becomes distracted
when Jasper starts to become distant. The town is upset with Olivia
when the girls advice column accidentily gets printed in the town paper.
On top of all that the newspaper office gets robbed. Jasper seeks to
help Olivia clear her name.
11. It's Just a Stage:
Sara's famous cousin, Pidgeon Plumtree, is visiting. Everyone is awed
by her including the man that Theadora has been seeing for years. Sara
wants to learn to become an actress, but is a little distressed at the way
Pidgeon treats some people. Pidgeon helps her admirer win Theadora
and teaches Sara a poem that they were to perform for the island.
12. A Mother's Love:
The girls of Avonlea are buzzing with excitement. There is a contest for
a mother of the year award, and all the girls have to do is write an essay
of why their mother deserves the award. When Sara announces that she
means to enter Aunt Hetty, Felicity and Sally make fun of her and even
steal her essay. Determined to get even Sara writes a letter claiming
that Sally and Felicity were switched at birth. The families are upset
and worried. They soon learn that giving birth is not all there is to being
a mother.
13. Misfits and Miracles: (February 1905, Daniel King is Born)
The new ice hockey coach, Angus McCorkadale, is refusing boys
because of their height, and refusing all women. Alec is sure he could
make a good ice hockey team with the ones refused. So Peg Bowen
makes a bet with Angus that their team could wime a game with his
team. During the game Sara runs to Rose Cottage, excited about
making a goal, and must help Janet give birth to her second son,
Daniel.
